Gregg’s Dalea features silvery, blue-green leaves and clusters of small, pea-shaped purple flowers in summer. It is an attractive, low-maintenance groundcover for dry and arid sites in full sun. It is particularly useful for erosion control on rocky slopes, or in areas of reflected heat.
Gregg's Dalea does not like fertilizer and overwatering, especially in winter. It will also struggle in heavy soil. Supplemental water in the summer will help keep the foliage full. Shear the foliage relatively severely in early spring to keep the dense shape. It may not survive temperatures below the teens.
Gregg’s Dalea is perfect for borders, rock gardens and hillsides.
