Datura is a dramatic night bloomer with large, fragrant trumpet-shaped white flowers that persist until morning. Once the flower has been pollinated, a large, spiky seed head forms, containing hundreds of seeds. The foliage is described as rank-smelling. All parts of the plant are poisonous. Some people are allergic to Datura and may experience a reaction when touching its foliage.
