Sorghastrum nutans (Indiangrass)
$ 13.98
Indiangrass is a tall, perennial bunch grass. It reaches 3-5 feet and stays about 1-2 feet wide. This attractive grass forms stunning golden plume-like seed heads in the fall that mature September to November. It stays low most of the year until it starts blooming in the fall.
Indiangrass can be used to create a dramatic, vertical accent in the garden and add interest in the landscapes in the fall and winter. Perfect for naturalized gardens, planted en masse or in wildflower meadow/prairie setting.
Indiangrass is adaptable and tolerates both drought and periodical flooding (as long as the saturation is not prolonged or permanent).
